THE MESOLITHIC SHELTER
Between 13.000 and 7.500 years ago in Camonica Valley there were huntergatherer nomads who went up from the plain and the moraine hills in the southern end of Iseo lake.

They moved at high altitude or almost went downhill and during their seasonal migrations they used natural shelters, tents and equipped shelters from where they left for hunting.

The equipped rock shelter recreated in the ARCHEOPARK represents those used by the ancient hunters which were built with animal skin and wooden trellises, readily available materials, and they could be disassembled and reassembled in a very short time allowing hunters to follow the movements of the animals.
